Eating a healthy and balanced diet is vital to achieving.

We take great pride in the food we serve in our academy, healthy eating and healthy living are very important to us.

All our food is cooked on the premises and many ingredients are sourced from local suppliers. We offer a wide selection of balanced and nutritious, hot and cold foods starting with breakfast through to break time and lunchtime services.

FREE Breakfast Club

We are proud to offer a FREE healthy school breakfast to all our students from Monday to Friday in our Main Canteen from 7:30am-8:30am, setting them up for the day of learning ahead. Students are able to choose from a range of  cereals, bagels and porridge along with a range of hot and cold drinks. Funding for free breakfasts is provided by the government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is delivered in association with the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.

Students may also bring their own packed lunch to school and a section of the dining room is set aside for their use.

Lunches

From Monday 24 April the catering for our academy will be provided and delivered by Taylor Shaw.

Our new and expanded menu will rotate throughout a three-week schedule and give students and staff the choice of many delicious choices at break and lunchtimes.

Students may also bring their own packed lunch to school.

Cashless Catering

Our academy operates a ‘Cashless Catering System’ where each student is issued with a personal PIN Number which they use to purchase any food or drink in school at breakfast, break and lunchtimes (food cannot be purchased in our canteens/food huts with cash).

This personal account for your child is linked to our online payment system, Scopay so you are able to credit their account with money, ready for them to make purchases. Prior to joining our academy you will be given the access code and on your child’s first day the PIN code is already associated with the account.

Please ensure your child has sufficient funds on their Scopay account. If a child is entitled to Free School Meals, this is credited to their account at 12:30pm each day and is for lunch purchases only.

Free School Meals

Students who are entitled to ‘free school meals’ are automatically credited with the value of £2.50 to their cashless card at 12:30pm of each academy day.
