Behaviour and Expectations reminder

Dear parent/carers,

Please can we remind you of our behaviour expectations of students on their return to school after the Easter break on Monday 19 April 2021.

Children must return to school on Monday 19 April in full school uniform, including shoes, tie and blazer.

If students are not in full school uniform our usual sanctions will apply – students will be issued with a 30 minute STRIVE correction and may be sent home to change their uniform (with parental permission). Persistent offenders will face further sanctions which will include referral to the Pupil Progress Coordinator and may include Retreat placements. Full details can be found in our Behaviour Policy.

Hats and hoods must be removed immediately when entering any school building and hoodies may not be worn beneath blazers.

No jewellery, make-up, nail varnish or false nails may be worn.

See our full uniform rules HERE

Families needing support with uniform should contact their child’s Year Manager or Pupil Progress Coordinator.

Mobile Devices

As per our Mobile Device Policy, students are not allowed their phones out in school at any time, including break and lunch time.

If your child needs to carry a phone to and from school that is fine but please be aware that any child who has their phone out in school will have it confiscated for the remainder of the day in the first instance. There will be no warnings, the expectation is that phones are not seen at any time in the school building, this also includes headphones/earbuds etc.

If they need to contact you during the school day then they must do this through the school office.

Covid-19 Safety Measures

The measures we introduced in September 2020 when the children returned after the Summer break still remain in force to ensure the safety of all our students and staff.

Every student in school will wear a face covering (unless exempt) at all times.

Students will continue to remain in their Year Group bubbles with the school split into five zones to keep year groups apart throughout the day, including break and lunchtimes. They must arrive and leave from their specific Year Group entrance. Sanctions for students breaking ‘bubbles’ will result in Retreat+ placements or fixed-term exclusions.

Students must continue to follow the one-way system around school.
