SIMS Parent App and the procedure for reporting your child’s absence
Please can we remind everyone of the process for contacting school should you child not be attending.
You have a responsibility to contact school on your child’s first day of absence BEFORE 8:30am with an explanation and likely duration of absence. It is necessary for you to contact school each morning that your child is absent unless we have a doctor’s note for a longer term illness. If we do not receive notification of your child’s absence then it will be recorded as unauthorised. Our academy reception is open to take calls from 8am. Parents will be contacted, and home visits made if we do not receive any notification of a student absence.
You should contact us on our main academy line: 0161 794 6215 and select ‘Option 1’ for absence/attendance
Alternatively you can send us a message via our SIMS Parent App and ensure your message is titled ‘Student Absence, Date’, please do not reply to a previous message you have received from us.
Please note, we no longer use the old MyEd app, and haven’t done so for more than a year.
