Primary Transition 2020

Primary Transition 2020

If you’ve arrived at this page we presume you have been offered a Year 7 place at Co-op Academy Swinton. We’d like to say a huge welcome to our family and the start of your five-year journey with us. We’re here for you and your child every step of the way!

We hope this page provides you with all the information you will need ahead of the start of the new term in September but if there is anything we can help you with along the way before then, please get in touch with our Year 7 team at: transition@swinton.coopacademies.co.uk

Although an exciting challenge, we recognise it can be a daunting experience for some. We fully understand the needs of our new students and do everything we can to ensure that this transition is both smooth and relaxed.

Sadly, this year due to the Covid-19 social distancing restrictions in place, our usual programme of transition events will not take place and we are reviewing our plans for your child’s transition to Co-op Academy Swinton. As soon as we have details for our ‘in-school Transition Day’ we will update this page and be in touch with you directly.

Most of our communication with you ahead of September will be online so please check your emails regularly for any correspondence from us and keep an eye on our website and social media channels – Facebook and Twitter.

Important next steps

Once you have received a formal offer from Salford Local Authority for a place at Co-op Academy Swinton you must complete our Admission Application-Data Collection Form 2020 below and return it to us by Friday 26 June 2020.  The online link to this form is below. Please view our Privacy Policy for details on how we use and store your data. If you are unable to complete the form online, please contact us to arrange a paper copy, but please note we are trying to avoid this if at all possible due to social distancing measures.

They can use this to tell us all about themselves, their interests and also which friendship groups they would like to be placed in Form with (where possible).
