Harvest 2019

Harvest 2019

Every year our Harvest Assembly never ceases to amaze us. The generosity of our students and their families is outstanding and the amount of contributions we received yesterday was remarkable.

Before we accepted the donations from each of our Form Groups (in their unbelievably creative harvest boxes!) we enjoyed a lovely assembly celebrating the Harvest Festival with readings from our Head Boy and Girl, a beautiful vocal performance by Claire Muhlawako Madzura and breathtaking dance routines from our Dance and Cheer teams.

This year the much anticipated inter-form competition to design a Harvest Box was fiercely contested and there were some very interesting creations. We saw ‘Death’ himself arrive with a coffin carried by four skeletons, a hot air balloon, Boris Johnson, a robot, a rocket, several Halloween themed boxes and a racing car with two hot-shot racing drivers!

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our students, parents/carers and staff who very kindly contributed towards the harvest collection. The food parcels are being taken today to several local homes and charities and also to our newly selected charity ‘Once Upon a Smile‘. We know these donations will make a huge difference.
