Open Evening overflows with visitors

Open Evening overflows with visitors

On Tuesday 2nd October we opened our doors for our annual Open Evening welcoming crowds of prospective students, parents, carers, friends and colleagues to see our academy at its best.

This was our first Open Evening since joining the Co-op Academies Trust in March of this year and it was great to showcase the amazing opportunities for learning we can offer the students who choose our academy. We seem to say this every year, but we were definitely busier than ever, with corridors and classrooms bursting with visitors. There was a great buzz around school with everyone enjoying the activities on display from cake decorating, mask making and food sampling to boxing, music production and computing puzzles…and our entire English department were even dressed up as characters from Harry Potter!

We received some fantastic feedback about our academy and our students who showed visitors around;

“Our eldest son received a great education here and was remembered by all staff. We would have no problem with our youngest coming here too.”

“Our student guide, Mia, was excellent, a real credit to your school.”

“All the students we met had beautiful manners, very polite.”

“It was a very informative evening and my child is looking forward to coming here.”

“We attended a few years ago, massive improvement in students and standards.”
