The New Normal Roadshow
On Tuesday 26 March we are hosting a special performance for Years 7-10, The New Normal Roadshow. The event aims to challenge and change unacceptable social norms and reshape youth culture in Manchester and Salford. The theme for this event is Relationships, focusing in particular on anti-bullying.
The roadshow will take place during Period 5 so students will get a slightly earlier lunch than normal before registering in form and heading over to the Recreation Centre. The school day will end at 3pm as normal.
All students from Year 7 to 10 are invited and we hope that they will find this delivery of an important PSHE topic refreshing and engaging. During the roadshow there will be discussion of the effects of bullying, including self-harm and suicide. If your child would rather not attend due to concerns over this being a topic that may cause them upset, then please complete and return the ‘no consent’ reply slip on the letter which will be sent home with your child on Monday 25 March.
Yours faithfully, Ms Jackson
