The Ripple Effect

The Ripple Effect

Alongside all our other PSHCE activities this week focussing on the plight of refugees we are supporting The Ripple Effect by collecting donations of clothing to send to various refugee camps across Europe

The Ripple Effect is a small but formidable team of volunteers who work with organisations’ to swiftly provide lifesaving aid for those who have lost everything and now have little to call their own. The Ripple Effect organise the collection and delivery of aid from the north of England to various refugee camps across Europe, and anything you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated as they are aiming to fill a container with clothes and shoes to be sent over the summer period.

For the next two weeks, there will be a box in our academy reception for your donations. We need:

  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • T shirts
  • Sweatshirts
  • Jogging bottoms for men
  • Leggings for women
  • Trainers
  • Coats
  • Children’s snowsuits

We will gratefully take any size clothes and they do need to be brand new. Please make sure any trainers you are kind enough to donate are in good condition, the person who wears them will have a long way to walk.

The final date for collection will be Friday 13th July 2018.
