In addition to our academy uniform, all students are required to have essential equipment with them everyday. All students must bring with them daily a pencil case with; a black pen, a green pen, a rubber, a ruler and a pencil. If items of stationery are lost, they can be purchased from Year Managers during Form Time.
We expect all students to have a rucksack that will accommodate their PE kit, A4 sized notebooks and all their other equipment.
At the start of each academic year every child receives a Student Planner. Students are expected to bring their Planner to school every day. The Planner is an essential communication tool between home and the academy. There are sections for emergency contact details, personal and homework timetables, a weekly planner, absence notes and medical consent forms. Please take the time to check your child’s planner regularly.
Replacement planners can be purchased via our online payment system, Scopay, for £3.50 and then collected from our school office.
Cashless System Card
Our academy operates a ‘Cashless Catering System’ where each student is issued with a card. You should continue to use our online payment system Scopay to credit your child’s account with funds to allow them to purchase food in our canteens. If you are unable to do this due to your personal circumstances please contact us directly so we can find a solution for you. Each student receives their card in Year 7 and is expected to bring the card to school on a daily basis (food cannot be purchased in the canteen with cash). The card can be used to purchase food at break and lunchtimes. If a student loses their cashless card, a replacement can be purchased from the canteen for the cost of £2.
Lockers may be hired each academic year. Hire agreement letters are sent out to every student at the end of the summer term in preparation for the September start.
Please note that there is a high demand for lockers, so we cannot guarantee availability. There is a £7 fee to hire a locker for a full academic year. Payment should be sent, along with your signed agreement letter, to Mrs Ashton in the Main Office.
Should a student lose their locker key, a charge of £3.50 will be made for a replacement.
