Extra-Curricular Activities

"The more you put into life...the more you get out of it!"

We firmly believe that education doesn’t belong solely in the classroom but is a whole life experience. We have a multitude of ‘extra’ activities that not only widen learning experiences
but also make academy life more enjoyable. We have regular visits to the theatre, cinema, concerts, museums and factories, both during and after academy hours. We visit relevant exhibitions on a regular basis and we invite
external visitors to talk to our students on various subjects. We also organise annual trips and exchanges

All our faculties take an active part in extra-curricular life and offer an enormous range of after-school activities. The table below details all the clubs/activities we currently have on offer.

TEMPORARY UPDATE: Our extra-curricular activities are temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 restrictions we have in place and the need to keep year groups in their separate bubbles, therefore the table below is not currently active.

School Library

For the time being, our school library will only be open to the Year Groups listed below on the following days:

Year 7 students on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Year 8 students on Fridays
No other year groups are allowed in this term.

Students will be expected to sign in, using their own pen. Hand sanitiser has been provided for students to use. They should only be using the library for reading, borrowing/returning a book, homework or to use the computer.

We have quite a lot of library books outstanding since March from students in Years 9 and 10. If your child has an outstanding book from the library please can you remind them to return it ASAP. It should be handed in to our main reception.
