What kind of construction apprentice could you be?

The following information may be useful to those who are considering a career with construction.

Apprenticeships provide an opportunity to learn how to do a specific job…on-the-job! The National Construction College offers apprenticeship courses in a range of building trades.

You’ll earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience and an academic qualification so you’re fully ready for work at the end of your training.

Ever thought of becoming a steeplejack, fancy reaching heights becoming a Crane Operative or working in Scaffolding? Maybe you have been thinking about Highway Maintenance or prefer working indoors so Drylining could be an option.

NCC offer the following construction roles

  • Drylining and interior systems
  • Groundwork and Construction
  • Plant (England & Wales only)
  • Roofing
  • Scaffolding and access

Each apprenticeship will have different entry requirements and can gain you a Intermediate level 2 – the equivalent of 5 GCSE passes at grade 9-4 (A*-C) or Advanced level 3 – the equivalent of 2 A-level passes, a Level 3 Diploma or International Baccalaureate.
