To mark International Women’s Day this year some of our students attended a special event at Old Trafford with our Manchester United Foundation Hub Officer, Adele Howarth.

The event was fabulous, our students spent their time speaking to women from different organisations and hearing inspirational talks from the women that work within them.

The girls also had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with two guest speakers who have successfully climbed the ladder, in what has previously been a predominantly male dominated football industry. It was great to hear their personal stories and our girls found it really motivating.

“It was an honour to bring our group os students here today. I think it’s really important that our girls are able to see the wider opportunities available to them when they leave school. The girls have been very inspired today and I was proud at how well they engaged in conversations in each of the sessions.”
