Young Leaders, Sports Leaders
Five of our students were selected to take part in a ‘Young Leaders, Sports Leaders’ course at Old Trafford this week.
The course gave a great introduction to leadership and is aimed at giving young people, aged 11 and over knowledge of how to organise and lead small games and activities that can be used as a part of uniformed organisation, community club or sports club sessions.
Daisy Ong, Callum Farnie, Sylvester Kisula, Eve Whalley and Erin Atkinson represented our academy exceptionally, winning a few leadership competitions within the course as group. They all really enjoyed it and have learnt a lot from the course that they can now put into practice in the future. To top off the day they were treated to a stadium and museum tour around Old Trafford from Manchester United Foundation. Well done everyone, we are really proud of your achievement!
I now feel confident to lead a session, if Adele asked me for help in school, I’d volunteer to do it but I wouldn’t have bee able to do that before this course.
