Encounters Dance Show workshop for Year 10 Dance students
Last week our Year 10 BTEC Dance students, along with Dance teacher Miss Hughes, headed out for the evening to watch an incredible show called ‘Encounters’.Not only did they watch the show they were privileged to have the opportunity to take part in a pre-show workshop with some of the choreographers.
‘Encounters’ was a fantastic dance show in the beautiful historic space of St. Augustine’s Church in Pendlebury, showcasing the amazing talent and versatility of the students from Pendleton College.
During the pre-show workshop our students gained an insight into training as a student at Pendleton College and they also learned some repertoire from the show.
Featuring multiple different dance styles such as; Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-Hop and Urban coupled with moving sets and props, incredible lighting, projections and even live singing the show was a great experience for our students. They enjoyed the evening immensely and were incredibly well behaved and professional, representing our academy perfectly.
