I have always enjoyed learning and was grateful at a young age to have the most inspiring teachers. I truly believe an inspirational teacher can unlock the hidden potential in every student they come across.

I quickly realised I loved Science and continued my passion for learning by graduating with a BSc Hons in Biochemistry at the University of Dundee. I always wanted to be a teacher and inspire students as I once was, and I completed my PGCE at the University College of Worcester.

During my career I have been a Head of Year, Lead Practitioner and was Director of Science for 6 years in an inner city school in Manchester improving the Science data to be in line with National Average. I continued my career in Oldham as an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching, Learning and Curriculum and then Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Progress, Assessment and Inclusion.

As Principal my aim is to inspire all students to achieve their potential by immersing themselves in the learning experience they receive from the moment they walk into Co-op Academy Swinton and leave our academy with an outstanding and well rounded academic profile.
