I began teaching in 2004 in a large secondary school in rural Lincolnshire. Over a 14 year period I held various posts including Head of Boys PE, Head of A-Level PE and, latterly, Director of Sport. In 2018, my family and I relocated to the north after I successfully gained the position as Head of PE in a Rochdale secondary school. Over the next four years I oversaw a transformation of the PE department into both a high performing and hugely popular subject. Finally in 2022 I was delighted to gain the position of Assistant Principal at Co-op Academy Swinton.

As Assistant Principal I will endeavour to provide the best possible opportunities for all of our students. I also want our young people to enjoy their time in school and have a smile on their face as they navigate the school day. I strongly believe that respect and manners are the foundations of success and I will endeavour to promote these within all of our students.
