A letter from Mr Harrison, 7 September 2020

Dear parents/carers,

Just to clarify the situation in school this morning – our priority was to inform parents and carers of children in Years 7 and 10 that we had two children in those year groups who had tested positive for COVID-19. We were then required to send home all children from Years 7 and 10, and their siblings.

Following further clarification from Public Health, only students in Years 7 and 10 need to isolate – which means that any siblings who are in Years 8, 9 and 11 are able to attend school and we look forward to seeing them back tomorrow. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused today but we felt that it was better to take this precaution until we received clarification.

I hope you appreciate that contacting every child’s parent in school in such a short period of time is difficult. We appreciate your support and understanding.

Yours faithfully
Mark Harrison, Headteacher
