Student Transition Information 2020
If you’re viewing this page we’re guessing you’re getting ready to join us here in September? If so, that’s great news – we can’t wait to welcome you to our family!
Although moving up to high school is exciting we understand how scary it can be. We are here for you all the way and this page is filled with all the information you will need before September. If there is anything we can help you with along the way before then, please get in touch with our Year 7 team at: email@example.com
Sadly, this year due to the Covid-19 social distancing restrictions in place, our usual programme of transition events will not take place. We are working hard to set up an ‘in-school Transition Day’ and as soon as we know more we’ll let you and your parents/carers know but remember to keep checking our website and social media channels – Facebook and Twitter.
Important next steps
Fill in the ‘Year 7 Student Information 2020 Form’ below to tell us all about yourself, your interests and also which friendship groups you would like to be placed in Form with (where possible) and return it to us by 20 June 2020.
Also, please remind your parents/carers to visit our Primary Transition 2020 page and complete the ‘Admission Application-Data Collection Form 2020’ – it’s really important!
Welcome to Co-op Academy Swinton
Take a look at our welcome video with introductions from Headteacher – Mr Harrison, Deputy Headteacher – Miss Withers and your Pupil Progress Coordinator – Mr Robinson. You’ll also hear from some of the students already enjoying life at here. They’ll tell about their experiences in making the move from primary to secondary and what they enjoy about school and their studies.
Also, please take a look at this presentation from Miss Withers with all the information we would have shared with you at our Primary Intake Day, had it taken place.
Here are some subject challenges from the teachers you’ll meet in September. Why not have a go and see how creative you can be before you even join us? We’d love to see your work!
